Otakuthon 2016 Showcase

Here's a video showcase of all the great stuff that went down at Otakuthon 2016.  There were some stellar cosplayers all over the convention, with characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender, to Metal Gear Solid to South Park making appearances.  We were able to catch a fraction of them in the video above, with some of the best being shown off at a sort of "fashion show" during the event.  If you've watched television at all in the past 10 years, there is something for you.

There was also a Kendo show that took place at the event.  You'll see in the video two swordsmen showing off their talents while a woman set the stage with music from a guqin, or chinese harp.  It was a change of pace from the high energy showfloor, but it was fun to watch.  It's not everyday that you get to see two people fighting with (wooden) swords, and it was a show we aren't wont to forget.

That's not all though.  We were also able to catch a panel with Chris Cason over at Funimation.  Cason has been in a billion things, you would be hardpressed to avoid a piece of work he was involved in: Mr. Popo, Tien and Shu in Dragon Ball Z, Gluttony in Full Metal Alchemist, he's done voices for Attack on Titan, Xenoblade Chronicles, and most recently the latest Fire Emblem game.  He is also the voice director for Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix, which was what Cason was at Otakuthon to talk about.  He had a bit to say about the new season, which we captured here.

Give the video a watch, let us know what you think.  If you have a minute, check out Cort Multimedia, who helped us get this together and keep an eye out on here and on our fanpage for more videos.
