Berserk and The Band of The Hawk Review.

Berserk and The Band of The Hawk Review.

Based on a popular long-running manga from 1989, this exclusive PS4 title follows the story of Guts, a mercenary from from a corpse surrounded by misfortune, who joins the famous Band of The Hawk and has his life changed.

If you’re interested in watching everything about Berserk, including the first 1997 25-episode series, the Golden Age Arc Trilogy movies, and both seasons of the currently airing anime or read the manga because you may not have enough time and love the Dynasty Warriors series, this is the perfect game for you.
This game is a very good compilation and summary of all the main events of the entire series up to a certain point in the story, albeit incomplete since the manga series is still ongoing due to Kentaro Miura’s inconsistent hiatus.
The game offers the main Story Mode, Free Mode where we play all the story scenarios but with the unlocked characters, Endless Eclipse, an unending tower-like mode where you climb the levels while acquiring exp and items, and Gallery Mode to see all the unlockables such as artwork, character models and ost.
Now aesthetically speaking, the graphics are solid, the controls are responsive and its soundtrack fits the ambiance of the game, a very dark and somber atmosphere, which is what made the manga popular..
If you don’t like this type of game it maybe get a bit repetitive but the overall package is a good deal.
At the time of writing the manga seems to be in one of its final arcs, which could easily be added as DLC, making it the perfect all-in-one experience.
