Deadpool 2 Breaks $300 Million Opening Weekend

So Deadpool 2 came out this weekend, and it looks like people are enjoying it. Taking in a hefty $300 million internationally+ domestically, it was able to dethrone Avengers: Infinity War for the number 1 spot this weekend. However, it didn't do as well (domestic) as the first film opening weekend, but there's probably a good reason for that: competition. Deadpool was released in February, that period where studios just assume people don't want to see a movie. The only real competition was Kung Fu Panda 3 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens on its millionth weekend in theaters. Deadpool 2 came out during blockbuster season, this time going up against the previously mentioned Infinity War, Black Panther, and A Quiet Place on top of everything else. So the fact that it was still able to hold up in the face of all that competion says something about the excitement going in. It's also just a pretty good movie.

So what do you think? See Deadpool 2 yet? Waiting for things to quiet down? Let us know!
