Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Unbreakable Episode 1 Review

Anime Review! As requested by Ous Zaim, I will try to do so on a regular basis as part of my admin responsibilities. This week will be focused on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, more especially, the new season : Diamond Unbreakable!!!

Now if you didn't know it already, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an extremely popular manga that started being published in 1986, by Hirohiko Araki, and still being published even today. It has influenced a lot of famous manga and games in the same way that Tolkien influenced the modern fantasy subgenre.

If you're into dark stories with fighting and humor, then you should check out the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure remake anime adaptation that started in 2012. It's at the same time a drama and a comedy, and it balances out both perfectly. Three seasons are out so far, covering arc 1-3, the 4th starting now, and each one follows a different member of the Joestar family, from generation to generation.

It's also one of the few anime today that has 3D computer rendered graphics but still manages to look like a classic old school anime. Now season 4 is finally OUT! The first episode was not a let down at all. The episode starts with Jotaro in Japan, and he is introduced to Josuke, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar (whom he had while having an affair with a woman in Japan). His stand is named "Shining Diamond" in the anime instead of "Crazy Diamond" like in the manga (reference to Pink Floyd), which is not the first name change they have done in the show.In any case his stand looks pretty strong since he forces Jotaro to use his special time ability right off the bat.

This first episode is classic JoJo from start to finish.

Looking forward to the rest of the season! - Rachid Bgd
