Telltale Summer Update: Batman, Wolf Among Us and More

With San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, Telltale Games has decided to release a series of summer update videos, informing fans of what new projects the team is currently working on. While you might not recognize Telltale by name, but you probably know about that Walking Dead game they did in 2012 that everyone loved.  Since then, they've focused on franchise based narrative adventure games: Minecraft: Story Mode, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series are some of their more recent titles.  If you haven't played their games before, but have an interest in doing so, they are this month's featured Humble Bundle, allowing you to pick up a ton of their games for cheap.

In this summer update, Telltale announced three sequels: Batman: The Enemy Within, the long awaited The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 and the conclusion to long running Walking Dead: A Telltale Series. If you didn't figure it out from the image above, The Riddler will feature prominently in The Enemy Within.  The short amounts of footage shown in-between the crew interviews teased at the appearance of some other Batman villains as well.  If you were a fan of the first season, you won't have to wait long for season 2; episode 1 debuts next month.

As for long waits, it has been almost 3 years since The Wolf Among Us with no news.  The voice actors behind the game open their video up by reading tweets demanding answers before finally giving them: The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 will start sometime in 2018.  While no game footage was shown off, the crew behind the first game are all signed on to begin working on Season 2;  I don't think we'll have to wait another 3 years before finding out what happened at the end of Season 1.

Finally, the team behind the Walking Dead games discuss the story up until this point, and what that journey has meant to them.  Heads up on this video, there are quite a bit more spoilers than the other two updates.  Again, not too much game footage was shown off, but the big news here is that this will be the final chapter in the Telltale Walking Dead series.  After 3 games and 2 spin-offs, Clementine's story is going to be coming to a close in 2018.

You can watch all of the videos yourself down below.  With SDCC this weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if they discussed these games in further detail.  We'll keep you guys posted on any major updates, so keep an eye on the website for more.
